Health-Boosting Technology Forges the Way for LG to Serve Who Matters Most – The Family

As the summer heat in the Gulf region knocks fiercely on household doors, it mandates that families spend most of their time in the great “indoors”. A major concern often neglected or under considered is the quality of the air that looms within households.  Numerous studies conducted over the past few years have indicated that the quality of indoor air is often times more seriously polluted than the quality of air outside, even in the most polluted cities around the globe.

Because so many residents and children of the UAE and gulf region spend a great deal of time indoors, particularly during the hot summer months, health risks associated with indoor pollution are far more likely than those caused by pollution breathed in outdoors.

With a strong consumer-focused commitment, LG continues to focus on health-boosting technologies that protect what matters most, the family.  LG’s dedicated R&D department has established a reputation for regularly turning out impressive, forward-thinking technologies. Nevertheless, LG does not seek to merely innovate. Instead, the company is pushing for technological progress where it is most meaningful.

Protecting what matters most

In an effort to present creative, new and tailored solutions to increase the health benefits of technological innovation, LG has committed to ensuring families have access to clean air.

In fact, LG believes that nothing is more important than clean air. Available in the UAE and GCC markets, the stunningly designed LG PuriCare™ air care lineup employs state-of-the-art air filtration technologies to rid the home of invisible air pollutants. Sand dust, pollen, dust mites, formaldehyde, and other harmful airborne contaminants such as sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) are no match for LG’s comprehensive air purifying solution.

“Our driving principle is to ensure that the meaningful purpose of our products is preserved from idea generation through to the end-user experience,” said Mr. Yong Geun Choi, President of LG Electronics Gulf. “Consumers in the region and in emerging economies need access to clean air and reliable air purifiers that can alleviate the negative impacts of air pollution. The home is a family’s last refuge, and consumers deserve to know that the air they breathe in their house will be preserved by air purifiers that they can trust.”

With features like the Smart Indicator and Smart Lighting that help users to check the condition of air inside the home, the LG PuriCare line is truly consumer-focused. The Smart Indicator shows the air quality more accurately with quantitative figures, and it gives users real-time readings on a crystal-clear display. This allows users to monitor changes in air quality over time. The Smart Lighting shows the indoor air quality in four colors that help users to easily understand the level of air quality.

An array of advanced filters is also used in the LG PuriCare™ air purifiers. The first line of defense is provided by the Dual Protection filter, which removes large dust particles, hair, pet fur and even bacteria. Next, the Allergy HEPA Filter powered by 3M Tech does its part, combating sand dust, allergens like pollen or dust mites and mold. The Triple Care filter removes formaldehyde1, a highly toxic chemical that has the potential to cause serious illness. It also eliminates sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), which are known causers of smog, while also reducing the presence of nasty smells. For a final round of purification, the Plasmaster Ionizer sends out over two million Plasmaster ions to sterilize the air, protecting users against potentially harmful contaminants including viruses, allergens and bacteria.

The LG PuriCare™ air purifiers are equipped with LG’s inverter core technology, the Smart Inverter Motor, which helps it to deliver strong performance wh
