Minister of Labor and Social Development Mufrej Al-Haqbani met on Wednesday with José Luís Carneiro, Portugal’s secretary of state for communities abroad, at his office in Riyadh. They explored issues of common interest and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of employment. They also discussed the issue of Portuguese nationals working in the Saudi private sector. The two officials shed light on the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Portugal, in addition to strengthening joint collaboration and exchange of expertise in terms of labor issues. They agreed that such cooperation would open new avenues for the development in the labor market, serving the common interest of their nations. They also explored means to develop social programs and civil society institutions in both countries through sharing expertise and benefiting from experiences in the field.
