Happiness Day at Media Rotana

In celebration of the special occasion of Israa Wal Miraj, the team at Media Rotana, Dubai, hosted a Fun Day for children from Senses Residential and Day Care Centre, Dubai.

The event held in conjunction with a privileged few who had taken part in the opening ceremony of the recent Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi - the first of its kind in the region - saw a variety of activities which included an extensive stage programme of songs and performances as well as a display of artistic talents by students who delved into art designs, weaving, making accessories out of pasta and more. Additionally, the parents of Special Olympics performerswere proud to have sponsored a wish list of items to the centre presented at the event.

“I was very happy to have been given the opportunity to plan and take part in this Fun Day to honour these children of determination commemorating their courage and resilience which they strive to have on a daily basis”, shares @inCthelove, a Special Olympics volunteer.

Sherif Madkour, General Manager of Media Rotana, was equally pleased to have hosted the event. Commenting on its success, he says “the team at Media Rotana is continually on the lookout for ways that it can support the community. We were pleased to dedicate our time and resources towards this worthy cause and would like to thank the volunteers of Senses for gracing us with their presence on this very special day.”

As part of a wider programme, Media Rotana hosts numerous activities over the course of the year to share its support towards charitable and such other worthy causes.
