Foodies in Jeddah have a reason to celebrate! Uber Eats, the globally popular food delivery service, has launched in the Saudi city. Today, ‘Eaters’ in Jeddah will be able to order food from their favourite restaurants simply by downloading the Uber Eats app or by visiting ubereats.com.

The launch in Jeddah marks Uber Eats’ expansion in the Kingdom, making it the second city after Riyadh where the service was launched in February 2018. Jeddah also joins the ever-growing list of over 350 cities across the world to offer Uber Eats, after recently launching in Cairo, Sharjah, Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Madrid just last year as part of an Uber Eats rollout across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

 

Right from launch, Uber Eats will offer customers the option of ordering delicious dishes spanning cuisines from hundreds of restaurants across the city. At the push of a button, customers can get their favorite meals delivered right to their door and in less than 40 minutes. Uber Eats also makes it possible for customers to discover more of what they like by providing new recommendations based on customers’ individual preferences.

Uber Eats is powered by the same technology that has globally revolutionized transportation, and is now changing the way people eat across the world. From launch the platform will offer food delivery from a wide range of popular eateries such as Shake Shack, Zaatar w Zeit, Krispy Kreme, Kudu, Cafe Bateel, Raising Cane’s, and more. Delivery will be available through the app and the website seven days a week, from 10:00 am – 2:00 am.

 

To ensure quality service and freshness of the food delivered, Uber Eats will initially be available in select neighborhoods within Jeddah, to be followed by a wider roll-out across the city.
