GOIC signs a Memorandum of Understanding with KOTRA

The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Hilton Doha. The MoU aims at facilitating cooperation and coordination between the two parties in an effort to support Gulf industrial sector.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Dr. Ali Hamed Al – Mulla Assistant Secretary General for Industrial Projects Sector on behalf of H.E. Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel, GOIC Secretary General and Mr. Wansug Yan, KOTRA Vice-Chairman in the presence of a number of Korean and Qatari businessmen.

GOIC Secretary General stated: “GCC countries are full of investment opportunities that Korean companies can seize.” He commended KOTRA for its endeavours to strengthen the relationship between Korea and GCC Countries.

The MoU highlighted cooperation and coordination in areas of joint interest between the two parties, notably organising conferences, participating in researches or working papers and offering technical support, especially that both parties have an excellent technical expertise. The MoU also aims at exchanging technological information and statistical data in economic and industrial areas.

In addition, both parties agree on the need for expert exchange and cooperation in the field of consultation and Industrial Potential Survey (IPS). In this regard, KOTRA is to take part in the Industrial Market Intelligence Portal (IMI Plus) by providing data and information and supporting researchers. Furthermore, they agreed to participate in professional expertise exchange networks, events, conferences and workshops aiming at building knowledge.
