Global NGOs offered $30,000 incentive from MiSK for innovative ideas which deliver social impact

Global NGOs attending the seventh UNESCO NGO Forum in Saudi Arabia next month have the opportunity pitch their innovative ideas to win a $30,000 prize fund to be used as seed capital to put the winning project into practice.

The pitch competition has been created by the Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Foundation (MiSK) which is hosting the UNESCO NGO global forum in Riyadh on 3rd and 4th May 2017 under the theme Youth and their social impact.

Bader Alasaker, MiSK Secretary General, said:  “We believe that nurturing and supporting those that work to support youth learning and leadership is critical to future growth and prosperity.  This is why we have initiated this pitch competition to identify the most promising project or proposal from an NGO globally that fosters engagement amongst young people to create positive social change.”

All NGOs attending the UNESCO NGO Forum are eligible to participate, and they may work anywhere in the world.  The key criteria is that the project must focus on youth engagement to create positive social impact.

The short application form may be downloaded from the forum website http://unescongoforum2017.com/ and the deadline for entries is 15th April, 2017.

Organised by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee and UNESCO, in partnership with MiSK, the Seventh International Forum of NGOs has attracted a number of renowned philanthropists and keynote speakers including Bill Gates and Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia.  The Forum will be attended by more than 250 NGOs and over 1,500 delegates from around the world.
