GEMS National School for Boys gathered royal guest Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Saeed Al Maktoum and his son Sheikh Khalifa bin Saeed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum along with an audience of GEMS Education VIPs as well as students, teachers and parents, to watch the Dubai Police Marching Band put on a performance, ahead of the UAE’s National Day.

 

GEMS students introduced the activity during the morning’s events which saw the school host more than 800 people. The Dubai Police Marching Band was an event highlight and took place beside the procession of the UAE national flag. The students also enjoyed a performance by the Police Dog Team later in the day. 

 

Jonathan Dey, Principal and CEO of GEMS Al Barsha National School for Boys, said: “It has been with great honour to welcome our royal guest to join GEMS Education on an activity in light of the 47thNational Day, and the celebration of the UAE. Given the school’s Emirati focus on values, the venue was a perfect choice to celebrate National Day and the official opening of our Sheikh Zayed Cultural Corridor.”
