Four Seasons Hotel Prague Opens New AVA Spa

Bringing the Czech Republic’s vibrant spa culture to the city’s exquisite Four Seasons address, Four Seasons Hotel Prague has unveiled its new AVA Spa dedicated to local rituals and luxurious pampering with breath-taking views of Prague Castle. Famed for its rejuvenating waters, the Czech Republic is acquiring a mythical status as a global wellness hub, renowned for sumptuous yet effective treatments that draw on decades of spa heritage and one of the country’s most abundant resources – hundreds of natural mineral springs with healing waters.

Deriving its name from the Celtic word for water, the new AVA Spa celebrates the curative power of natural water. Four single treatment rooms pay tribute to popular rivers, including the “Vltava River”, which flows just outside the Spa, in addition to the Morava, Otava and Litava Rivers. Together with a large couples´ suite with a bath, the well-appointed rooms offer AVA Spa visitors stunning views of Prague’s most beautiful sights, such as Prague Castle and Charles Bridge.

In addition to benefitting from rejuvenating treatments, guests can also relax in the sauna, steam bath and vitality pool with a waterfall, massage jets and hydrotherapy beds, surrounded by comfortable chaise lounges and a fireplace creating a truly unwinding atmosphere. A relaxation area provides ample resting space before and after treatments.

“European vacations are incomplete without an authentic spa experience that uplifts the mind and body. When it comes to effective, natural remedies, the Czech Republic is the hot favourite of visitors from around the world with its water-based treatments that are perfect for those interested in all-natural therapy. AVA Spa will be the first spa in Prague to get inspired by the healing properties of hydrotherapy and we are excited to bring ancient traditions from the country’s historical spa towns to the Czech capital. Our signature treatments draw from these traditions to offer even the most discerning spa lovers a wide range of new relaxation, wellness and beauty rituals that promise to refresh, vitalise and energise. Add to this its beautiful location and beautiful design, we believe AVA Spa is nothing short of a historical and cultural treat,” said Claudia Santos, AVA Spa Manager.

Following relaxation therapy at the spa, guests can step outside the Hotel to discover the “city of a hundred spires”, to be inspired by its enchanting mix of Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture. With picture-perfect historical landmarks to visit, a mystical fire-lit journey inside the gothic Karlštejn Castle , private art tours, and much more – a trip to Prague promises to be a magical exploration of Europe’s history and culture. Until March 2017, guests to Four Seasons Hotel Prague can take advantage of AVA Spa Discovery Package to indulge in a local Czech bath experience while enjoying continental breakfast for up to two guests, one treatment from the Thermal Bath menu and luxurious accommodations complete with Four Seasons signature hospitality.

“Thanks to the location and history of Four Seasons Hotel Prague’s building, AVA Spa was a joy to design. We used natural materials, specially designed furnishings and incorporated distinct features from the Hotel, like characteristic ceiling arches, tiling and stencilling. I believe AVA Spa will become a destination for relaxation in Prague, and we are proud to have been able to combine such modern services and amenities with local tradition, something Four Seasons Hotel Prague is already well known for,” said René Beauchamp, General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Prague. “We believe every Spa guest will find a visit to AVA extremely refreshing. “

An array of treatment options

Featuring a range of cosmetics and treatments exclusive to Four Seasons Hotel Prague, AVA Spa offers guests the opportunity to sample traditional Czech-inspired baths, exclusive facials and signature spa rituals. Unique cosmetic lines, Swiss Perfection and Sodashi, are exclusively available at AVA Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Prague along with Omorovicza.

Guests can look forward to pampering themselves for hours with AVA Spa’s signature rituals personally formulated at the Spa with a touch of luxury. The Karlovy Vary Inspiration uses bath water infused with healing compounds to detoxify and purify the body. For a more intense detoxification, the Signature Detox begins with a Rhassoul steam bath and includes both a Sodashi Marine Mineral Body Scrub and contouring pink clay mask. A full body massage and special scalp and feet pampering complete the purifying process.

Senses will be soothed and a full body glow achieved following the Golden Ritual. This luxury Omorovicza treatment combines a full-body scrub to revitalise the skin; a soothing Bath Retreat; a relaxing Gold Body Massage and finally a divine anti-ageing Gold Lifting Facial. The Cellular Exclusive Lift Concept is a five-step Swiss Perfection lifting treatment that naturally lifts the skin and brings long-term benefits. For guests who need a quick energy booster, the La Bohéme Massage is inspired by the Czech national tree and uses detoxifying and regenerating linden blossom oil.
