Philanthropist Firoz Merchant, Chairman and founder of Pure Gold Group was recognized as a leading entrepreneur in the GCC retail sector at NDTV’s inaugural Gulf Indian Excellence Awards in the UAE to applaud the contribution of Indian business leaders to the Gulf economy. Held at the Hyatt Regency Creek Heights, the award ceremony was attended by leading business officials.

 

Commenting on the award, Firoz Merchant, says: “It was a great experience to share the stage with Indian entrepreneurs and business leaders who are an inspiration for Indians across the globe, and whose success stories deserve an applause. I would like to thank the organizers and the award committee for honoring my entrepreneurial journey. I dedicate this award to my late parents who taught me the value of hard work and perseverance, and above all to contribute to the well-being of the less fortunate.”

 

The event also featured panel discussions on topics of interest to strengthen the business ties between India and the Gulf countries.
