Ferrari World Abu Dhabi announces nine days of Emirati inspired Eid Celebrations

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has announced a program of Emirati inspired activities offering park guests a festive experience for Eid Al-Adha.

Between September 1 and 9, the world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park will house nine days of cultural experiences inspired by the UAE’s traditional customs for celebrating Eid. One of the most common customs was storytelling, and the activity will be featured heavily throughout Eid period.

After jumping off the heart-pounding rollercoaster, Turbo Track, guests can engross themselves in a slower paced live theatrical show, featuring an Emirati grandfather settling down with his grandson to swap cultural tales, punctuated with traditional Ayyala performances.

Once they’ve set off in search of their next thrilling attraction, guests will come across a traditional Emirati fisherman, who shares his own fascinating tales and demonstrates fishing methods from days gone by. The next stop may be Formula Rossa, but not before, guests get to explore the UAE’s famous pearling past, or step inside an Emirati village to discover life in a bygone era.

And, in keeping with the anecdotal theme, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will also celebrate some of the most compelling Emirati story characters brought to the Park by the UAE’s New Fairytales & Fables initiative, which will be introduced to guests as they’re guided through a unique storytelling maze.

Traditional henna design, arts and crafts, face painting, and an interactive corner for kids all emphasize the Emirati-focused celebrations, as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi fuses its own story with the customs of Eid.

“We are very proud to give visitors from across the world the opportunity to celebrate Eid Al-Adha and get closer to the local traditions in such an exceptional setting” commented Jesse Vargas, General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. “At Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, we love telling stories and, by combining those of Ferrari and the unique UAE heritage, we want our guests to live another memorable experience that brings families and friends together in the true spirit of Eid.”

During Eid, on September 1 and 2, the park will be open from 11AM to 10PM. Visitors can also purchase bronze tickets online for only AED 220 per ticket, or at the park ticketing counters for just AED 251 per ticket, as the “Friends & Family Pass” offer will be running until September 9. This special rate applies to a minimum of 4 tickets purchased. For more information, please visit www.ferrariworldabudhabi.com
