The Excellence in Cardiac Care Congress launched in Dubai with the participation of a group of local specialists and more than 25 international experts. The two-day leading event is organized by Maarefah Management in collaboration with Gruppo Ospedaliero San Donato, with the support of several regional and international specialized authorities.

The first day of the congress witnessed some scientific lectures focused on modern techniques in heart surgery, pulmonary hypertension at the left side of the heart, how to design and manage rehabilitation patients heart program after cardiac surgery, modern management of diseases of the thoracic aorta, the renewal of heart from stem cells to direct reprogramming, among other significant topics in this field. The scientific committee of the leading congress includes regional experts such as Prof. Abdullah Shehab, Head of Cardiology, Al Ain Hospital, Al Ain, Prof. Antonio Colombo, Head of Interventional Cardiology, Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, Prof. Lorenzo Menicanti, Head of Cardiac Surgery, Policlinico San Donato, Milan, Prof. Prof. Ottavio Alfieri, Head of Cardiac Surgery, Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan.

Prof. Dr. Ottavio Alfieri, Head of Cardiac Surgery, Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, Italy, discussed the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux mitral. Prof. Prof. Mattia Glauber, Head of Cardiac Surgery, Istituto Clinico Sant’Ambrogio, Milan, showed in the scientific lecture a laparoscopic surgery mitral valve and innovation in cardiac surgery. Prof. Lorenzo Menicanti, Head of Cardiac Surgery, Policlinico San Donato, Milan, highlighted in his lecture the surgery for patients with heart failure. Prof. Marco Guazzi, Head of Clinical Cardiology, Policlinico San Donato, Milan, discussed during his lecture high pulmonary blood pressure in the left heart diseases. Prof. Massimo Lombardi, Head of Cardiac Radiology and Imaging, Policlinico San Donato, Milan, explained the impact of new technologies and their applications in clinical decision-making.
