Madinah Mayor Khaled bin Abdul Qader Taher inaugurated various entertainment, shopping, cultural, heritage and social events in seven different areas of the holy city as part of Eid festivities. 

The celebrations, held under the patronage of Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, have attracted many Saudis who want to enjoy the holidays.
The inauguration was held in the heritage neighborhood in the presence of Islamic Development Bank President Ahmed Mohammed Ali and a large number of attendees including citizens and residents.
People can enjoy the Eid festivities from after Isha prayers till 1 a.m. everyday. Activities will continue for 10 days.
The colorful events coincide with the shopping and entertainment festival being held on Al-Salam road which includes a number of activities for people in Al-Aqiq area to enjoy.
The opening ceremony began with a reading from the Holy Qur’an and speeches by members of the organizing committee and others to welcome the visitors, congratulate them on the happy occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, hoping that their days will be will festive and joyous. Traditional Eid songs, poetry and popular dances were played for the audience.
The organizing committee said the celebrations would include many activities and events to highlighting the city’s heritage, culture and development projects.
The activities will take place in seven different locations and aim to strengthen the social fabric and connection between people living in Madinah.
