Etisalat UAE’s Internal Audit department was recognised with the prestigious Overall ‘Best Practice Award in Internal Audit’ for the private sector during the 5th Chief Audit Executive Conference, held under the patronage of H.E. Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri – UAE Minister of Economy. The event was organised by UAE Internal Auditor’s Association (UAE IAA) in Dubai, UAE (IIA Global Affiliate).

The UAE IAA launched the ‘Best Practice in Internal Audit Award’ to acknowledge internal audit departments of entities in the UAE and across the region that go the extra mile to implement practices and standards to ensure effective and efficient performances when compared to other organisations.

Etisalat UAE’s Internal Audit department won the recognition, voted by an independent Jury of Experts and more than 220 heads/executives of internal audit from leading companies across Middle East and South Asia.

Nadeem Asghar, Senior Vice President Audit at Etisalat UAE said, “It is imperative for every organization to have effective controls and processes that protect it from various risks, vulnerabilities and threats, improve reliability of information systems and enhance operational efficiency. This award affirms our sound audit strategy and practices in strengthening the company’s governance and internal control system, which is important for our employees, shareholders, our customers and partners”.
