Etihad Museum and Dubai Healthcare Authority held Breast Cancer awareness event

Etihad Museum, an entity by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts, heritage, and literature, held activities in recognition of Breast Cancer Month.

The activities were part of an event held in collaboration with Dubai Healthcare Authority and included an education lecture on breast cancer awareness; medical testing stations where blood pressure, sugar levels, and cholesterol were measured; health consulting services offered by specialists; an awareness station dealing with mammogram testing; and nutrition consultation.

Khulood Al Nuaimi, Manager of Events Section at Etihad Museum, commented: “This event was organised to shed light on breast cancer and to educate visitors and participants about the disease so that they may best serve their community. We are grateful to our partners Dubai Healthcare Authority who helped us spread awareness to all members of the society, and we thank all those who participated with us for this enlightening event.”

The event came as part of the museum’s ongoing educational and awareness programmes launched by Dubai Culture to enhance the museum’s position as a key educational and knowledge sharing centre for visitors, students, and future generations.

Etihad Museum is the first political history museum that tells the story of the 1971 Union Agreement through the eyes of the Founding Fathers, and is the result of a partnership agreement between Dubai Culture and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Under the agreement, Dubai Culture reviewed the content of the museum, developed the institutional brand, and is currently managing the museum, while RTA handled its construction.

The museum is open daily from 10am – 8pm. Admission fees for visitors are AED 25 for adults 25 years and above, AED 20 for groups of 10 or more, AED 10 for students between the ages of 5 – 24, and children below the age of five and people of determination are admitted for free.
