When Myfanwy Thomas (Emma Greenwell) wakes up under London’s rainy sky, with no memory of who she is, and surrounded by dead bodies, more questions arise than can simply be answered. And from this intriguing start, the new STARZ Original Series, The Rook, follows the heroine’s journey to uncover her past while learning that she is a high ranking official in Britain’s secret service for people with paranormal abilities.

The Rook masterfully blends the supernatural thriller and espionage genres, to keep audiences guessing where the next piece of puzzle would fit within the bigger picture. And in addition to Emma Greenwell, whose credits include memorable roles in acclaimed shows like The Path and Shameless, The Rook’s star-studded cast also includes Joely Richardson, Olivia Munn, Adrian Lester, Ronan Raftery, Catherine Steadman, and James D’Arcy.

 

The Rook is adapted from Daniel O’Malley’s novel of the same name and is produced by Lionsgate and Liberty Global. Showrunner duo Lisa Zwerling (“Betrayal,” “FlashForward,” “ER”) and Karyn Usher (“Bones,” “Prison Break,” “Backstrom”) serve as executive producers, alongside Stephen Garrett (“The Night Manager,” “Hunted”) who executive produces under his Character 7 banner.
