Empower pays tribute to women on the occasion of International Women’s Day

To celebrate womanhood and to recognise the power of the femininity, HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of the Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (EMPOWER), asserted the importance of femininity - the powerful, compassionate and resilient drivers of change in the society. At Empower, women have played an instrumental role in driving the company towards its goals and achieving success.

The annual celebration of International Women’s Day reinstates the vital role of women in our society, and the importance of acknowledging their achievements. With this year’s theme focusing on ‘Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50-50 by 2030’, it takes me great pride to state that women in the UAE have had the opportunity to function hand-in-hand with men, making the country the most preferred destination for women to live and work. Furthermore, under the wise directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, women in UAE have always been given equal rights allowing them to be woven into the development process that the country witnesses at all levels. As a country, UAE has not only empowered women, but also support them in their respective achievements,” said HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of EMPOWER. From the UAE to all around the world, women have been the key drivers of success across varied sectors, be it top class businesswomen, scientists, successful politicians or artists. As such, we need to embrace, recognise and rejoice the accomplishments of women all over the world,” added Bin Shafar. As an organisation Empower recognises and acknowledges the distinct impressions of women and pays tribute to the power of femininity. The company currently operates more than 1.25 Million RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences, Dubai Design District, among others.
