Following the success of his single “Jan Jonouni” released in November with an official music clip that topped 230k views to date on VEVO, Omar Al Marzooqi released his long awaited debut album “Naweeha” with Universal Music MENA on December 2nd, 2016, coinciding with the 45th National Day of United Arab Emirates.

A wide array of the best local writers worked on the album amongst which Salem Saif Al Khaaldi and Mushraf Al Otaabi with the music by the renowned arranger and composer Hatem Mansour. 

Recorded at studios in Istanbul and Dubai, the album includes 10 tracks varying from multiple styles of the Khaleeji sounds and the Moroccan pop with emotional and romantic themes. Omar’s debut hit track “Rahat Alaik”, which marked his launch as an artist in 2015, is added to the album.

The track “Naweeha” carrying the album title was a collaboration between lyricist Jumah Ghareeb and composer Hatem Mansour who added the distinct flavor to all the album songs creating an infectious Khaleeji pop masterpiece; a mix of glistening synths, finger clicking beats combined with Omar’s unique vocals.

“I put all my effort, senses and emotions in this album along the support of all the great names and industry professional from lyricists, to composers, musicians and the production team; we were able to bring it to life after a serious time of hard work” says Omar.

It’s been an incredible year for the Emirati star, his instant likability is constantly growing his avid fan base; attracting various exciting collaborations and engagements which will be announced early 2017.
