Emirates Palace Chefs Bake Cookies with School Kids in its Pastry Kitchen for a Good Cause

When Emirates Palace resolved to surpass fund-raising efforts for its annual Golden Hearts partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, the five-star Hotel turned to local school children, and a Bake Sale was born with the goal of granting even more holiday wishes of children in the UAE with life-threatening illnesses.

This year, Emirates Palace intends to be a community leader in both charitable giving and community engagement to raise even more for kids in need, therefore a new partnership has been forged with the American Community School Abu Dhabi to help local school children volunteer.

Emirates Palace’s Executive Team of Chefs worked with ACS students and Make-A-Wish kids to decorate 300 festive-themed cookies to be sold at a bake sale managed by student led group, Protect the Fighters, which was founded by Sixteen-year-old two time cancer survivor and former Make-A-Wish UAE kid Fadila Farag who explains: “Illnesses shouldn't stop children from living their lives and having fun, and Protect the Fighters takes advantage of every opportunity to make these children happy”.

On the Hotel’s new partnership with ACS, Emirates Palace General Manager Holger Schroth says, “Emirates Palace is pleased to welcome this student group into our Pastry Kitchen and work together to make this Christmas much merrier for kids in need”.
