Recognizes Saudi Telecom Company’s Futuristic Drive and Vision, Congratulates Their Remarkable Transition into a Revolutionary Service Provider

 

– EMC today announced its recent participation at the STC IT Day that was held on the 7th and 8th of September at the Executive Club of the STC Campus in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At the event, EMC congratulated Saudi Telecom Company (STC) on their futuristic vision and successful transition to a full-fledged service provider enabling both private and public sector enterprises in the Kingdom transform in the face of growing digitization. Aimed at showcasing award winning technologies and innovations that are designed to help organizations establish a firm foundation to manage and leverage burgeoning data and application growth, the STC IT Day brought together an audience of key STC employees and business leaders from across the kingdom.

The digital universe in the MENA will grow from 249 Exabytes in 2014 to 1835 Exabytes by 2020, an increase of over 600%, according to the IDC Digital Universe Study.

The audience was also introduced to the EMC XtremIO, all-flash array that has just recently achieved $1 billion in aggregate bookings in just over 18 months.
