It is important to create an appropriate work environment for businessmen and workers through cooperation and information exchange to support inspection campaigns, Labor Minister Mufrej Al-Haqabani said in Riyadh on Tuesday. He also stressed the importance of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs’ role in supporting coordination between different government agencies to achieve goals. Speaking at a forum, Al-Haqabani said his ministry and others government agencies make concerted efforts to reduce violations in the labor market through inspection campaigns. 
“Amendments in labor regulation, which were approved by the Cabinet, contributed to the control over the labor market. The ministry protects employers and workers through clear regulations,” he was quoted as saying by local media.
The forum discussed, among other things, mechanisms to increase inspection efficiency, as well as information exchange.
