In the presence of Princess Lolowah Al-Faisal, Effat University launched the website and the 10/10 application on Tuesday.

10/10 is a social initiative launched by Effat University in collaboration with Marfad Foundation, which focuses on the safety and security of the individual while driving through awareness programs, as well as providing a quick, easy and flexible way to report on emergencies that an individual may face while driving.

This initiative stems from Effat University's interest in and participation in the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the new developments, which are concerned with supporting women, developing them, facilitating their lives and enhancing their role in society as an important and effective half.

The ceremony started with a speech by Dr. Haifa Jamal Al-Lail, president of Effat University. "Everyone is aware of the vision and mission of Queen Effat Al-Thunayan Al-Saud (may Allah rest her soul) in building our country, which stems from the roots of the originality of the constants and the vitality of the renewal that encourages leaders from both genders, in faith of men and women’s roles in elevating the country to reach its best potentials," Al-Lail said.

"Effat University has just celebrated this social occasion and recorded it in the historical record of Saudi women's leadership in the era of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman."

The website and application are a unified portal with detailed and accurate information related to the world of driving, including the best applications from the experiences of the former to produce a conscious and continuous individual. It also aims to focus on the safety and security of the individual — man or woman — while driving as well as providing a quick, easy and flexible way to report on possible emergencies to help speed response by related entities.

Dr. Mona Othman Ibrahim Al-Breikan, director of the Women's Driving School at King Abdulaziz University, and Director of Marfad Foundation for Social Development Ohoud Tarabzouni also spoke on the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by a number of women from the Jeddah community, who had the opportunity to drive in the first hours allowed, and each of them expressed their feeling and experience of driving the first time in Saudi Arabia.

The ceremony concluded with the inauguration of the website by Princess Lolowah, vice chair of Effat's Board of Founders and Board of Trustees, and the general supervisor of the university.
