A new photo exhibition entitled “Zayed and Rashid: Inspiring Visionaries” featuring historical photographs of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum saw its official opening today at Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s head office.

 

The exhibition features a collection of rare and unique photographs of the two leaders taken by renowned photographer Ramesh Shukla, along with important milestones in the UAE’s history over the last 50 years, including an iconic photograph of the country’s rulers taken on December 2nd 1971, which has become a symbol of unity.

 

H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber, opened the exhibition at a special ceremony which honoured Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid as visionary leaders who championed the values of tolerance and multiculturalism, as well as Shukla for his great contribution. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO, Dubai Chamber, Dubai Chamber officials, directors, employees and customers. The exhibition will be on display for two weeks as part of celebrations for the UAE’s Year of Tolerance.
