Dubai Central Laboratory, a part of Dubai Municipality is offering a unique service for customers at Dubai International Jewellery Week 2016. Any visitor who has made a purchase at the show can have the new jewels authenticated at the Dubai Municipality stand for free.

Aisha Rashid Al Mazoorei, Head of Gemstone and Precious Metal Unit for the Dubai Central Laboratory Department said: “With our advanced testing techniques, skilled expertise and state-of-the-art equipment like Infrared and Ultraviolet visible spectrometers, Laser Raman and XRay, we have all the makings of a world class mobile lab.

“Dubai Municipality aims to escalate buyer trust and confidence in the items displayed at the exhibition. Our presence here not only ensures systematic monitoring and quality inspection of items displayed, but it also increases public awareness about gemstones and precious metals by technical consultation and distribution of brochures with practical guidelines. Testing for all buyers at the exhibition is complimentary.”

The free authentication service is available at the Dubai Municipality stand throughout Dubai International Jewellery Week, running until 10 December at Dubai World Trade Centre.
