DETASAD(Detecon Al Saudia), Alfaisal University and WSB (Women’s Skills Bureau) have started a new endeavor to be a catalyst in enhancing, developing and growing entrepreneurship among women and university students in Saudi Arabia by launching Project Khayal. 

 

 

Project Khayal is a joint effort aims to find hidden gems among women and university students living in Saudi Arabia, by giving them the platform and tools to make their technical/ICT ideas come to life. University students together with expat ladies will have the opportunity to present their technical ideas to a jury which include Alfaisal University, WSB and DETASAD representatives during the program. Selected ideas will be developed and implemented by the volunteering students and ladies with the right IT infrastructure, tools, office space and consultation which DETASAD will provide. DETASAD, with 37years’ experience in information, communication and technology industry, will also commercially support suitable products selected among the applicants.In addition, DETASAD will offer internship opportunities and permanent positions after graduation to Alfaisal students, provide specific agreed lectures covering ICT/Telecom and business subjects, plan with the university to collaborate in developing lectures and courses for Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence.

 

 

DETASAD, Alfaisal University and WSB believes in the potential power of entrepreneurship and aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030 to empower potential talents. Students and young adults compile the majority of our population, and they are the true resources that needs to be refined, shaped and set for the future with a strong grip of the digital transformation especially in the upcoming IoT era. These students from Alfaisal University will be the engine behind Project Khayal as they will work closely with the women entrepreneurs and DETASAD in developing the new ideas.
