Saudi Arabia is witnessing a dynamic growth in field of learning by entertainment, focusing on young generations. Dana Mall has decided to take lead in education development by embracing the "Junior Engineer" program cooperating with Engineering with Kids, which is an American association that focuses on educating children in different fields such as science, engineering, technology, and mathematics through combining information with joyful and challenging activities.

The Engineering with Kids programs are highly acclaimed for their internationally high standards, gaining worldwide recognition. Their strategy depends on granting the opportunity for children to explore by different engineering experimentation, connecting education by implementing. Thus, making engineering joyful and engaging to young generations. In addition to authenticating the importance of engineering to modern life style.

 

Mr. Rayan Al Hindy, Marketing Manager of Kenan Development, the operating company of Dana Mall at Yanbu Royal Commission, explained that "The Junior Engineer" program will be held for four days, from the 10th- 13th of March 2016. He elaborated that adopting this program was driven from the social responsibility towards Saudi community, “we are giving children the chance to discover themselves, in order to realize their own skills and capabilities to reach their highest potentials, through acknowledging God’s precious gifts in our universe by practicing observation."  

Hindy Added, "More than 700 participants will benefit from this initiative, by learning new skills and spending enjoyable time with their fellow students, while they learn from international education by entertainment experts, who are notable members of Engineering for Kids."

Participating in the "Junior Engineer" program will be through registering and prior evaluation, available for three age groups: Little Engineers (age 4-7), Intermediate Engineers (age 8-11), and Senior Engineers (age 12-16), the presented curriculum includes astronomy, environmental, industrial, and marine science. It will also cover civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering, and game design, besides the creative "Lego Robotox" workshops. The program will offer awards for best performing participants from each age group.
