The Building Technology Stimulus Program (BTSP), under the Ministry of Housing, announced the completion of the construction of a house within a record time of two days.

This was made possible by using modular or precast concrete as part of the BTSP’s plan to accelerate the home-building process and provide citizens with high-quality smart, affordable and sustainable housing units.

Minister of Housing Majed Al-Hoqail made an inspection tour of the house and the site on Tuesday.

The minister said that the Eskan Program has stepped up efforts, in partnership with the private sector, to raise the percentage of Saudis who own houses to 60 by the beginning of the year 2020 and to 70 by the beginning of 2030.

Mahab Benten, general supervisor of the initiative to stimulate the technology of construction at Eskan Program, said three agreements have been signed with specialized international companies during the recent Riyadh Future Investment Initiative Forum, in addition to funding of local manufacturers with SR186 million during the last quarter of 2018 and is finalizing the process of financing of seven factories with SR415 million.
