Marina Mall Abu Dhabi, the capital’s leading shopping destination, is celebrating the “The year of reading” by hosting a two-week long book fair from 16 to 26 November, 2016.

 

Visitors will have the opportunity to spread happiness and share knowledge by contributing their pre-loved books, via the Marina Mall Book Fair, to support “Wanna Read?” initiative led by Her Highness Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, for children in UAE hospitals. 

 

To further encourage reading amongst the nation’s youth, Marina Mall Abu Dhabi will also host an adventurous story telling session of the popular book “Penguins” by its author Asma Al Kitbi, on the 25 November, accompanied with fun activities. The reading sessions will take place from 4:00 pm and 6:00pm.

 

The government-led initiative aims to create a generation of book lovers and consolidate the UAE’s position as a global capital for culture and knowledge.

 

A donation box will be available at the mall. Marina Mall is open daily from 10:00am -10:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am to 12:00am on weekends.
