"Building Hope" highlights Saudi Vision 2030 at United Nations Global Compact Forum

Building Hope, a division of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) concluded recently its participation at the second annual regional forum on the theme "Sustainability in Action: Business and the United Nations Global Goals" organized by the Pearl Initiative in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

The forum was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Honorary Chairman of the Pearl Initiative on Oct 27 in Dubai with the attendance of more than 700 regional and international business leaders as well as representatives from the United Nations.

On behalf of CPC, Faysal Alaquil, CPC Director of Business Development & Chief of Building Hope Division participated in a panel discussion titled the integrity and transparency frame work “Building an effective and accountable business practice.”

During the discussion he stressed the importance of raising community awareness of anti-corruption and strengthening the principles of integrity and transparency as part of the work environment.

He also recommended the need to work on the integration of effort between the various public and private institutions within the overall effort to fight corruption in all its forms.

As part of his participation, Alaquil highlighted some of the key areas of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to create a more diverse and sustainable economy and improve the business environment, so that economy grows and flourishes, driving healthier employment opportunities for citizens and long-term prosperity for all.

Some distinguished speakers shared key insights at the forum including a special video addressed in the opening session by Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the UN.
