Baume & Mercier have announced renowned international race driver, Jordan Grogor, as the new Friend of the brand. One of Jordan’s most recent collaborations with Baume & Mercier was at the Dubai launch of the brand’s racing themed collection; Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963. At the event, Jordan was both overseeing the driving skills of the guests in an enjoyable race while chatting with them about his own experiences.

 

Commenting on the announcement, Stanislas Rambaud, Baume & Mercier Brand Manager for ME and India said, “We are very pleased to announce Jordan Grogor as our new Friend of the Brand. Jordan has made an impressive mark in the world of racing and flawlessly echoes the values of endurance and precision of our Capeland Cobra collection.”

A Dubai based South African national, Jordan Grogor is a race car enthusiast and a professional driver for the GP Extreme. His career highlights include participating in the Formula 1 Historic Race in Monaco, Austin and Mexico alongside the contemporary Formula 1 Races. This year, he was also teammates with the famous Carmen Jorda of Renault racing and has contested in races across Italy, Austria, France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. Some of the other events he has been part of include the Redbull Ring in July. Circuit Paul Ricard in August and he will be contesting at the Spa Francorchamps in September and Estoril race track in October. In addition to these races, Jordan will be partaking in the 24H championship series and GT Racing in a Ferrari in Barcelona, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. When he isn’t racing, Jordan is a Director at Macsteel International, a global trading company.
