An electronic platform to control the movement of one million truckloads in the Kingdom

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) plans to launch an electronic platform this year to control and manage the transport of goods to around one million trucks in the Kingdom, while workers in the sector are expected to undergo a mandatory transport document.
It is expected that the platform will follow the "Bayan Portal", the liquidation and removal of irregular workers and violators of the market, which - according to the Commission - a lot of problems and cases of concealment, and apply the mandatory registration within two to four months. "The Bayan portal is the third e-portal launched by the TRA for the land transport sector, following the" Nuqul "and" Wasel "ports, thus complementing the Triangle of E-Platforms for Land Transport, Electronically and strengthen the kingdom's position for logistics.
He explained that the carriers and freight brokers will be able to issue the transport document and electronically load the goods transported by truck on land roads in order to control and control the quality and management of the goods transport operations and to ensure the rights and responsibilities of the transport parties and comply with the regulations. During the workshop, he presented a definition of the portal and its objectives, which include keeping up with the international regulations and regulations for the transport sector and the establishment of statistical reports that enable the Authority to review and study the market of goods transport.
He pointed out that those who do not comply with the transport "document" will face penalties and fines, especially that the information contained in the document is a formal document in the litigation process to ensure the regularity of the work of these carriers, and will be linked in the future to all relevant departments.
He explained that the regulations governing the movement of goods require obtaining the document, and according to international conventions is very necessary, and one of the objectives of the system of the Commission to conclude the Convention on the international transport of goods on roads and must enter the Kingdom and the document is a key part of the Convention.
"There has to be a technology and a system to monitor and handle this sector, which includes one million trucks, and enables the regulars and the outlaws," said Bandar al-Jabri, head of logistics at Al-Sharqiya.
He pointed out that there is a large proportion of one million trucks in violation of the public transport systems in the Kingdom, pointing out that the control of this large number is through the gates of "statement" and "arrived" and "transfer", which helps to identify the violators of the system.
