United Motors Company (UMC), unveiled the All-new 2019 Ram 1500 during a ceremony at the Auto Mall showroom in Jeddah. The event was attended by a large number of media and automotive enthusiasts.

 

The new Ram 1500pickup truck rises to a whole new level of features and technology, making it the most advanced and luxurious pickup truck in its segment.

 

The all-new 2019 model has been completely overhauled, making it better than ever, offering even more capability, strength and performance. But even this monumental progress wasn’t enough to satisfy the Ram engineering team, which is why they also pushed innovation, technology and refinement to entirely new heights, revolutionizing the brand’s flagship vehicle in what is perhaps its most significant redesign ever.

  

Boasting countless of new exclusive features that are very important to customers and new levels of cabin comfort, technology, capacity and functionality, make the new Ram 1500 a dream come true for those who don’t make any compromises to drive a Ram truck.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Stuart LaurieHead of Ram BrandFCA-ME officeexpressed his appreciation for all the attendees for being part of the launch of the new RAM 1500.” He added that the fifth generation of the Ram 1500 delivers state-of-the-art technology with the previous award-winning Uconnect® system and a 12-inch (305mm) reconfigurable touchscreen display featuring split-screen capability for dual-application operation, with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ (available on both the 8.4-inch/213.36 mm and 12-inch/305 mm touchscreens). New multifunction type C USB ports that allow devices to be charged up to four times faster than standard USB outlets are included as standard and an integrated wireless charging pad is also available.

 

He concluded that an innovative, highly advanced active noise cancellation system and acoustic glass reduce ambient sounds down to a low 67.1 db, which makes it the quietest Ram 1500 ever."

 

However, Manoeuvrability and parking are also made easier than ever, due to new technologies in the all-new 2019 Ram 1500’s. of which the new front & back parking sensors ParkSense®, rear backup camera Parkview®, blind spot and rear cross path detection, adaptive cruise control and, available for the first time on the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, a 360º surround view camera that gives a bird’s-eye perspective of the vehicle via four cameras positioned around the vehicle to create a fully stitched image. 

 

An additional 4-inch (10 cm) has also been added to the cabin, giving rear seat passengers best-in-class legroom of 45.1-inches (1,146 mm), with the added luxury of ventilated rear seats that recline up to 8-degrees and a fold down rear seat center console, even further enhancing comfort.

  

All 2019 Ram 1500 models are powered by the legendary 5.7-litre HEMI® V8 with variable-valve timing (VVT) for greater efficiency and performance. It delivers 395hp at 5,600 rpm, 410 lb.-ft. of torque in a smooth, broad power band that avoids the hesitation and peakiness of turbocharged engines, and is linked to a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission. 

 

The 2019 Ram 1500 offers class-leading ride and handling, which is delivered via a unique link-coil rear suspension system and an optional air suspension system that features five height settings for optimum ride and aerodynamic performance. In addition to an enhanced smooth ride, the air suspension also allows the driver - via a separate button on the key fob - to lower the truck, allowing easier passenger entry and reduced tailgate lift-over height.

 

For the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, the engineering team has made overall weight reductions totaling nearly 225 pounds (102 kgs) net compared to the previous model and have created the strongest Ram 1500 ever with the most efficient frame in the segment - 100 pounds (45.4 kgs) lighter with 98 percent high-strength steel to improve durability, weight and rigidity for improved handling. 

 

 To further maximize fuel efficiency, the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 also features Fuel Saver Technology (cylinder deactivation), with the engine’s control computer turning off fuel and spark and closing the intake and exhaust valves on four of the engine’s eight cylinders during light load operation, such as highway cruising when full power is not needed.
