Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council, UAE and Ruler of Ajman, and in the presence of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Nuaimi and HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) organized the Flag Day Celebration in Masfout.

A large number of the members’ community, government representatives, schools and university students, and the ATDD employees gathered today and took the Ajman Citysightseeing Bus tour, heading to the Al Warqaa Park at Masfout.

National shows were performed, followed by raising the flag with the slogan of “Raise it High ... Raise it Proud”.  The crowd then sang the National Anthem with the participation of the students of Abu Saeed Al Khudri and Mzeirea for Girl schools.

On this occasion, HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD said: “ We at ATDD are very proud of the presence and participation from all the segments of the society and the interaction of the UAE citizens  and residents alike to the call of this precious occasion, which highlights the unification of hearts, the loyalty, appreciation and self belonging that people feel towards UAE, and our motto this year reflects the image of the UAE bright in its pride, strong with its children, proud with its flag high. Our UAE flag accompanies our young people wherever they are, to be remembered by our children and grand children always, and motivate them to achieve their ambitions to raise the country's name high, as did our ancestors, and we will do always in God’s will.”

The United Arab Emirates celebrates the Flag Day on the third of November of each year, which marks the anniversary of the late His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan when he took over the head of state, and when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Premier Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai launched on the third of  November 2013, a national, popular and sustainable campaign to celebrate the Flag Day,  calling to raise the UAE flag high "expression of loving the home country, feeling grateful to the founders of the state, the union of all the people, and their commitment to do whatever it takes to preserve the United Arab Emirates”.
