INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions – member of INDEX Holding and Radiology Society of the Emirates announced today the launch of the 1st edition of Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE. The Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE (ARM) will be taking place from 13th to 15th of November 2016 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre “ADNEC”. 

 

The announcement came at a press conference held today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre “ADNEC”, which was presided by Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding, Dr. Abdulla Alremaithi, President of Emirates Radiology Society, Consultant at Zayed Military Hospital, and Dr. Usama Albastaki, Vice-President, Emirates Radiology Society, Consultant at Rashid Hospital and Mr. Khalifa Alqubaisi Head of Sales - Congresses and Conferences, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC). 

 

Eng. Anas Al Madani welcomed the attendees and expressed his gratitude for all the supporters of the 1st edition of Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE. He emphasized on the importance of this event as it is the first specialized and dedicated conference and exhibition for radiology and diagnostic imaging, and it is expected to attract more than 300 specialists and experts from all over the world.  

 

Eng. Anas Al Madani stated: “Radiology or diagnostic imaging is crucial in medical practice as it paves the way for proper diagnosis and treatment. As a result, we believe there is a need for an event like Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE, which forms a platform to share best practices in the profession and discover latest innovation and technology.”

 

Speaking at the press conference, Dr. Abdulla Alremaithi, President of Emirates Radiology Society (ERS), Consultant at Zayed Military Hospital, said: “INDEX Conferences & Exhibition and Radiology Society of the Emirates have taken the initiative to launch the first edition of Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE. The meeting will witness the participation of world-known pioneers in the field of radiology in addition to the participation of 5 leading Emirati radiologists.”

 

From his side, Dr. Usama AlBastaki, Vice-president of ERS & Radiology Consultant at Rashid Hospital, commented: “We believe that this event will grow to be one of the leading specialized events in the MENA region. We aim through this event to improve the practice of radiology in UAE by encouraging scientific research and building a strong educational platform in the region, which in turn will form a good reputation for the UAE in the field of radiology.”

 

The press conference has also touched upon the agenda of Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE which is expected to discuss the different branches of radiology that will include: Body Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Chest Imaging, Interventional Imaging, Musculosketal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Pediatric Imaging, Women Imaging and Radiography.

 

The event is expected to play host to 20 leading companies in the field of radiology and diagnostic imaging forming an ultimate platform for the exchange of knowledge and information amongst the participants and professionals. 

 

Eng. Anas Al Madani has concluded the press conference announcing that the Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE will be held annually alternatively between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He announced that the 2nd edition will be taking place next year from 12th to 14th November, 2017 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
