68% of Jordanians are covered by insurance

The Secretary-General of the Higher Council for Population, Dr. Abla Amawi, said that the results of the General Population and Housing Census for 2015 showed that 55 percent of Syrians in Jordan have health insurance compared to 68 percent of Jordanians covered by insurance.
She added that Jordan is doing everything in its power to provide the best services to Syrian refugees, including health care, and that refugees living in the camps enjoy health care services. Free.

 

She pointed out that Jordan is implementing a range of programs in the field of providing reproductive health services to refugee adolescents, the most prominent of which is the existence of the Jordanian response plan for the Syrian crisis 2018-2020, which focuses on strengthening services for Syrian refugees including health provided by government institutions, and improving the services provided to them in Health centers in rural areas, in addition to the existence of the Jordanian national plan to activate Security Council resolution 1325 on women, security and peace, as well as a package of services provided by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with UNFPA in this area, Institutions of civil society and international bodies.
