 The Ministry of Labor and Social Development will start the third phase of the drive to employ female workers in shops selling women’s accessories on Oct. 21.
The aim is “to prepare a suitable, motivating, stable and productive environment for women to work in, and to increase job opportunities for Saudi women,” said ministry spokesman Khaled Aba Al-Kheil.
Activities targeted for this phase include the sale of women’s perfumes, shoes, handbags, socks, hosiery, clothing and fabrics, he added.
Pharmacy sections in malls that sell women’s accessories and makeup will also be targeted, he said.
