2XL Furniture and Home Décor, the leading Emirati company specializing in luxury furnishings, is organizing a furniture art competition for students of architecture and design disciplines from various universities in the UAE, as part of the upcoming UAE National Day celebrations. Around 100 students from universities across the UAE have registered to participate in the competition. 

 

All the participants have to submit their idea of how they will transform a select furniture from 2XL with artwork and embellishments to reflect the theme of ‘UAE National Day’. The top three entrees will then be produced by the students themselves, with their names inscribed on the furniture.  

 

According to Amit Yadav, Marketing Manager at 2XL, “It is delightful to see the great enthusiasm UAE students have shown to be part of this unique competition which is also an opportunity to pay tribute to the UAE. The three winning designs will be recreated on our Christie regal dining chairs and it will be donated to Rashid Center for Disabled.”

 

The winners will receive AED 10,000, AED 5,000 and AED 3,000 worth of 2XL vouchers.
