SPGA clarifies controls for real estate allocation, transfer between govt agencies

The State Properties General Authority (SPGA) stated that the controls for the allocation, recovery, and transfer of real estate between government agencies aim to regulate this issue, without prejudice to the relevant regulations, orders, decisions, and agreements.

In a press release, SPGA added that the controls will contribute to boosting spending efficiency and quality of services provided, as well as achieving development sustainability in accordance with the highest and latest standards.

The controls include a number of requirements that should be fulfilled by the entity requesting allocation, such as providing all the information required to study the entity’s needs, estimates of employees and beneficiaries, as well as the initial plan for the project elements and required area, as per the approved form. This contributes to determining the appropriate real estate to fulfill the needs of government agencies and achieve the optimal exploitation of state properties.

The controls also include studying the government agency's needs and determining the actual areas for the entity requesting allocation, in addition to taking into account the conditions of urban planning and the requirements of the authorized authority supervising the property to be allocated. In case of requesting a specific property for allocation, it is necessary to attach a report about the property, its specifications, and reasons for selection, as well as aerial photographs showing the site coordinates.
