Emirates Islamic CEO welcomes new batch of young Emarati trainees

Salah Amin, CEO of Emirates Islamic welcomed 38 young Emarati participants of the bank’s ‘Al Mustaqbal’ and ‘Future Relationship Managers’ training programmes for UAE national school and university graduates.

Joined by Wasim Saifi, Deputy CEO - Consumer Banking and Wealth Management; Marwan Salem Abunawas AlMheiri, Chief Human Resources Officer; and Farid Al Mulla, Head of Branches and Distribution, the CEO welcomed the young Emirati trainees, wishing them long and successful careers with Emirates Islamic.

Emiratisation accounts for more than 24% of the bank’s total number of employees, and more than a third of them work in managerial positions. Last year, Emirates Islamic exceeded its target in the Emiratisation Points system endorsed by the Council of Ministers for the financial and banking sector.

‘Al Mustaqbal’, a programme for school graduates up to the age of 20, includes both class room and on-job training, with successful trainees then being deployed permanently into entry-level positions across various divisions of Emirates Islamic. The latest edition of the programme, which ran from November 2018 to January 2019, had 19 trainees enrolled.

Meanwhile, Future Relationship Managers is a training programme designed for Emarati university graduates with the aim of developing them into Relationship Managers roles in various departments of the bank.
