Zain KSA ranks first in Game Mode report for the second consecutive time

Once again, Zain KSA ranks first in the Game Mode report issued by the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) for the second quarter of 2021, recording top connectivity performance in 4 of the most popular video games in Saudi Arabia, namely Fortnite, FIFA 21, APEX Legends, and Dota 2.


The report compares the response time of the Kingdom’s telecom service providers in the most popular video games, where Zain KSA leads in Fortnite’s response time with an ideal latency of 12 ms, surpassing the national average recorded at 22 ms. Similarly, Zain KSA also came in first with FIFA 21 with an ideal latency of 13 ms compared to the national average of 22 ms. Additionally, in APEX Legends Zain KSA scored the best ideal latency of 13 ms and outperformed the competition in Dota 2 with the best latency of 20 ms.


Zain KSA also led as the fastest mobile network response time in Riyadh according to the report. Those results, in addition to numerous local, regional, and global accolades, come to position Zain KSA as the leading provider of home internet bundles in Saudi Arabia, and a premier entity within the telecommunications and information technology sector. Among its noteworthy awards, Zain KSA won the SpeedTest award for the Kingdom’s “fastest fixed network” granted by the global company Ookla for the first quarter of 2021 for the third consecutive time.


This year’s report from umlaut, the world leader in the field of testing the efficiency of communication networks, also named Zain KSA as the best (5G) network and data performance in Riyadh, placing the Saudi capital amid 5G pioneering cities worldwide such as Tokyo and Dublin. Moreover, Opensignal, the independent global standard for analysing consumer mobile experience, granted Zain KSA three awards associated with 5G performance, including “Best 5G Download Speed,” “Best Download Speed Experience - 5G User,” and “Best 5G Availability.”
