The UAEGGA sought to prepare a new team that would be WAGGGS accredited and receive a better understanding of the World Association’s leadership model to apply it in the UAE. The Association also highlighted its vision to develop creative and cognitive skills, cultivate team spirit among Emirati girls and enhance their academic, professional and personal development.

The training programme issued a list of recommendations to encourage more volunteers from the Arab Region to join the new generation of facilitators and enhance their leadership skills to support WAGGGS’operations. The program informed participants on facilitation practices and how to use their talents and expertise to turn new ideas into successful projects.

The recommendations introduced girls to best practices in facilitation, especially in terms of self-development, and highlighted the Association’s programs and opportunities to help participants apply facilitation practices through a leadership project.

Aisha Al Suraidi, said: “The UAEGG is keen to invest in national human capital and participate in all guiding activities in the Gulf, Arab Region as well as internationally.

“The UAE is committed to prepare a new generation of highly qualified professionals and volunteersby promoting their intellectual and leadership skills and encouraging their involvement in community work and the guiding movement in the country. It is the duty of every member of society to support our national values, the UAE vision 2021 and the UN sustainable development goals.”

UAEGG has sought since its inception to enhance and develop the skills of Emirati girls. It has contributed significantly to achieving its goals of developing creative and cognitive skills and cultivating the team spirit among Emirati girls. The guiding association strongly encourages girls to participate in its events and activities as members. This stems from UAEGG's belief that knowledge acquired by girls will help them in their academic and professional career as well as in their life.
