Twitter Partners With Goal for Exclusive Afc Asian Cup Series #yallagoal Asian Cup

Twitter announced today the launch of an exclusive two part Arabic series; #YallaGoal Asian Cup, sponsored by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) , and produced by football news brand Goal.

The preview show will follow TV personality Rawan Daher (@Rawan_Daher) and Saudi football superfan Mohammed Alghamdi (@Mohammedg84) as they explore Dubai’s landmarks such as Rashid Stadium - host of AFC Group E opener on 8 January - while they discuss the upcoming tournament, play football-related trivia games and showcase what you can do in Dubai as a fan of sport in general. The first episode will take place on 16 December.

"As the countdown begins to the AFC Asian Cup 2019 in the UAE, Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing is delighted to sponsor #YallaGoal Asian Cup ahead of the tournament in January. The eyes of all football fans in Asia will be on the UAE for the 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup as a record 24 nations go for glory, and Dubai will play an integral part by hosting 11 matches at its two venues - Al Maktoum Stadium and Rashid Stadium in what will be a thrilling month of football.

We are hugely excited to be staging AFC Asian Cup 2019 matches in Dubai and #YallaGoal Asian Cup will have football fans covered, giving fascinating insights to viewers in what promises to be an unmissable series” said Issam Kazim, CEO, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The tournament live episodes will take place during January 2019 to keep football enthusiasts informed about what’s happening during the championship. The episodes will include reviews and previews of the key fixtures, with a focus on the UAE and Saudi national football teams, video and data-driven content as well as exclusive interviews from Goal Arabia.

The show will be free and accessible globally to logged-in and logged-out users on Twitter and connected devices, and will be streamed via Goal’s Twitter account @GoalAR.

Benjamin Ampen, Managing Director, MENA, Twitter said, “This custom production is unique to Twitter as it marries the premium custom content by partners with our distribution and targeting capabilities to meet DTCM’s objectives as the show sponsor.”
The #YallaGoal Asian Cup mini-series follows two original shows by Goal in partnership with Twitter; #YallaGoal European Weekly, an Arabic sports show that took place during November to cover the Big Five European football leagues, and the original #YallaGoal; the first Arabic sports show in partnership with Twitter, that covered football related news during the 2018 FIFA World Cup™, generating an average of 400,000 viewers per episode.
