Turkish Airlines, İbn Haldun University and Airbus launch “Air Transport Management Masters Program”

 

Turkish Airlines in association with İbn Haldun University and Airbus hosts the launch event of the academic program that started last September to support the future airline executives’ professional competence.

 

The launch event took place at the Turkish Airlines Headquarters today with the attendance of Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, M. İlker Aycı, İbn Haldun University Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. İrfan Gündüz, and Airbus Board Member, Thierry Baril.

 

The program, designed to provide future aviation executives with sufficient capabilities to run our regions fast growing aerospace industry, is coordinated by Turkish Aviation Academy and offers students two alternatives to train with our without thesis. The program which is in cooperation with globally reputable education institutions like Cranfield University, and British Columbia University, is held at Turkish Aviation Academy Campus to be completed in 18 months. Within the program the students will be able able to receive their training in basics of airline management, aviation economy, aviation law and regulatory compliance as well as optional modular subjects like airport planning and future air transport systems technologies.

 

During his speech in the event Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, M. İlker Aycı said about the ‘Air Transport Management Masters Program’; “Turkish Airlines has gone a long way within its investment program with many of them realised and has become our country’ most known worldwide value. To elevate Turkish Airlines brand to this level we continuosly developed our most distinct feature, our unique and innovative service mentality, which differentiates us from our competitors and we continue to do so without slowing down. Although we are proud to work on realizing all this we feel obliged to provide sufficient opportunities today to our successors who will take over the flag tomorrow. For that end we are proud and excited to start “Air Transport Management Masters Program” with İbn Haldun University and Airbus that will benefit our young executive candidates. While we continue to realize our short and long terms goals, we believe that this program will hugely contribute to the professional capabilities of future aviation leaders.”

 

 

İbn Haldun University Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. İrfan Gündüz; “We are happy to have such a beneficial cooperation with the pride of our country’ aviation sector, Turkish Airlines, and as well as Airbus, one the building blocks of global aerospace industry to support the continuous elevation of our country’ leader position of its region in global aviation sector. Airbus Board Member Thierry Baril said; “It is a real priviledge for us to officially inaugurate the ‘Air Transport Management Masters Program’ with our partner Turkish Airlines. This course is designed to develop the most promising leaders and equip them with the skills to deliver excellence to the Turkish Aerospace Industry.”
