TP-LINK Technologies Co Ltd, a global provider of SOHO and SMB networking products and wireless solutions, has announced the appointment of Dia Hamdan as the new Regional Marketing Manager for Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

In this new role, Hamdan will be responsible for the vendor’s entire marketing functions and will work with a team of executives across the region to promote and raise awareness of the brand and its wireless LAN (WLAN) products in the channel and end user market.

According to the company which makes a broad range of products to consumers and small businesses, including Wireless solution, ADSL, Routers, Switches, IP Cameras, Powerline Adapters, Print Servers, Media Converters and Network Adapters, Hamdan’s appointment as regional marketing manager will help TP-LINK on its journey as it transitions from being perceived as a Chinese brand to an international brand with global presence

Denny Liang, Vice President, TP-LINK Middle East and Africa (MEA), said the company is delighted to have attracted such experienced talent in Dia Hamdan to lead the marketing functions within MENA. “We particularly impressed because he joins us from Asbis Middle East, one of our top distributors in the region. With Dia onboard, the marketing team has been strengthened and he will be able to guide and coordinate with other business units to promote and raise awareness of the many initiatives we are doing in the channel and with end user customers,” Liang added.

Liang said the appointment of Hamdan will also help TP-LINK to improve its communication with all distributors across MENA especially when implementing joint marketing and promotional campaigns. “We are delighted at the fact that Dia brings experience from the IT distribution sector, something that will help us to fully understand our distributors better,” Liang said.

Remarking on his appointment, Hamdan said he is happy to join TP-LINK at a time when it’s embarking on so many channel initiatives as the company extends it footprint in MENA and beyond. “My priorities in this new role will be to enhance relationships between TP-LINK and all its channel partners, help to coordinate regular events, training, partner meets and communicate the incentives programmes to partners,” he said.

Hamdan added that being a regional marketing manager also entails that he will be working closely with members of the marketing team to coordinate the activation of the soon to be announce TP-LINK Partner Programme for partners in MENA. “Working along with the channel, sales and technical teams, we will be looking at ways to improve and enhance our internal and external communications with all stakeholders involved in our business,” he said.

Prior to taking on this role, Hamdan was marketing manager at Asbis Middle East, a TP-LINK Distributor in the Middle East.
