The French Oil & Gas Industry on display at ADIPEC

The French pavilion, organized by Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, will gather 44 companies, of which 10 are first time exhibitors, this year at ADIPEC trade show, the world's 2nd largest event in the O&G sector, from November 11 to 14, 2019.

France's exhibiting companies will represent every part of the sector, showcasing all the expertise and quality of French know-how when it comes to equipment and fittings for oil and gas, exploration, production and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as services and consulting to companies, and new technologies.

For the first time at ADIPEC, Business France is launching an award competition to showcase the latest and most advanced French technologies leading the industry into the future of Oil & Gas: sustainabilty, digitalization, efficiency, to reward and celebrate the companies that contribute to embed innovation into every part of the Oil & Gas operations. The selection will be made by leading members of the O&G Industry in the Middle East : ADNOCTOTALTROUVAY CAUVINEVOLENIFPen. The most innovative and promising French company will be granted by an award ceremony, on November 12th at 4 P.M. on the French pavilion – located Hall 9 (9256).

The French Oil & Gas service and supply sector developed a global footprint with more than 90% of its turnover generated by exports. Becoming one of the world’s leading exporter with Norway and the United Kingdom, this remarkable performance has been achieved through the high level of technical expertise of French companies. Sustained by ambitious programmes, French companies tend to invest significantly in research and development, to guarantee a strong capacity for innovation and meet the needs of an ever more ambitious sector.

Frederic Szabo, Managing Director, Business France Middle East commented : « the oil and gas construction projects planned in the GCC are expected to pledge USD 660 billion by 2025, including USD 29.6 billion for the United Arab Emirates, with USD 3.7 billion injected into the expansion of the Upper Zakum deposit, the 2nd largest in Abu Dhabi and the 4th largest in the world. These are just some of the opportunities prompting French companies to participate in this international exhibition ».

The French position in the O&G is also the result of other factors, especially the role of global players in the energy sector such as Total and Engie, renowned research institutes, IFPen and IFREMER, as well as the existence of several large engineering companies and contractors such as Technip. The French ecosystem is also well represented by major French companies and international leaders in the sector that have been active in the Middle East for the past 80 years and now firmly anchored in the region, such as CGGAir Liquide and Vallourec.

This year, the French exhibitors at ADIPEC will represent a full range of activities in the sector and put the spotlight on France's research and technological expertise. The business service and consulting sector will be well represented with companies providing expert skills to tap the full potential of oil and gas fields using 3D models and simulations. Specialized products, equipment and services for the O&G sector will also be introduced : focusing in the treatment of metals and high-performance components for the O&G, the manufacture of industrial valves, oil and marine products in corrosion-resistant alloys, designing and manufacturing pressure transmitters, accident and leak prevention on infrastructures, will all be showing their expertise at ADIPEC.

The French pavilion is organized in partnership with Trouvay Cauvin, specialist in custom-made solutions designed to optimize execution in key project stages, and with the support of Air France. It will be located in Hall 9, stands 9230 to 9239, 9250 to 9258, 9330 to 9340 and 9351 to 9359.
