Tadweer Preserves Cleanliness of Liwa Desert During Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge Powered by Nissan

Accommodating an 800-strong contingent of rally competitors, technicians, officials, medical staff, volunteers and media, the bivouac is the beating heart of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge Powered by Nissan, and looking after it is a round-the-clock operation during the event.

Ensuring the rally leaves nothing behind in the desert of the Al Dafrah Region is a task carried out meticulously by a team from waste management specialists Tadweer.

Dr. Salem Khalfan Al Kaabi, the Deputy General Manager of Tadweer said: “The presence of Tadweer as a strategic sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2018 aims to provide a healthy and sustainable environment throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. For this reason, we have provided supervisors, workers and mechanisms, in addition to all hygiene requirements. The team will be available around the clock to remove the waste from the rally Bivouac for the sake of the preservation of cleanliness.

“Tadweer is keen to be present in most events in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and this is based on its vision that aims to build a sustainable waste management system and to control public health, to become one of the world's leading systems by 2030, and not only to use the best technological solutions to enhance environmental sustainability and excellence in customer satisfaction, but also to create a conscious society that contributes to the transformation of waste into an economic hub of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE and FIA Vice President for sport said, “We are indebted to Tadweer for helping us preserve the desert and keeping it in the condition we found it.”
