Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Majd Shweikeh commended the 'active' role of women in the tourism industry and said the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities believes in the potential of Jordanian productive women and that it is adamant at involving them in tourism and offering them full support.

During a visit to the 'Bint Bladi' exhibition Sunday in Amman, Shweikeh noted that the ministry is keen at making women active partners in the industry of tourism through their innovations in the sector, which constitutes a main source of income for the Kingdom, and through working to accentuate local product. 

The exhibition provided participants with at no cost pavilions to display their products in an endeavor to develop the tourism industry as to make it a pillar in tourism.
