Schneider Electric to Showcase IT, Energy Tools at Third Annual Saudi Forum for Hospital Planning and Designing

• To Highlight Contributions to Smart Power Management Solutions for Evolving Saudi Healthcare Infrastructure

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management, is set to display its comprehensive range of power management solutions at the third Saudi Forum for Hospital Planning and Design, held under the auspices of the Saudi Minister of Health and the Saudi Umran Society, an association of leading healthcare architects in the country.
Set to run from 17-19 March at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, the definitive hospital infrastructure event in Saudi Arabia will convene the growing healthcare infrastructure industry in the country, as well as electrical energy professionals, industry stakeholders, and ministry of health representatives. Visitors can learn more about the company’s portfolio of products including Premset MV Switchgear, surge protection appliances, earth leakage circuit breakers, datacentre facilities, and EcoStruxure™ via live demonstrations. In addition, Graeme Robertson, Global Business Development Director at Schneider Electric will present a keynote speech on modern technologies and their contributions in developing positive healing environments.
The event comes at a time when the GCC region, faced with a surge in population and growing medical demands, is making significant investments in smart healthcare technology and infrastructure. A Deloitte healthcare systems study reveals that the Saudi government has prioritised health care infrastructure, in line with its 2015 budget that earmarks funding for 27 new hospitals. The country has been constantly increasing government healthcare expenditure since 2009.
Talal Abdulaziz Al-Sehli, Executive Account Manager – Ministry of Health, Schneider Electric, said: “Effectively managed facilities can actively complement the work of healthcare professionals, helping patients feel more at ease and increasing access to quality health solutions. In the spirit of embracing innovation, urban dynamism and technological advancement of this nation, we offer solution-based approaches to entering the era of ‘smart cities’. The Saudi Forum for Hospital Planning and Design is a key meeting ground to identify new opportunities and ideas that can spark the next phase of development and growth.”
Schneider Electric showcased EcoStruxure™ during the second edition of the Saudi Forum for Hospital Planning and Design in 2014, highlighting energy and cost efficient options hospitals can use to improve the overall management, productivity and internal environment.
