SAMACO – Sales to ladies throughout the Kingdom soar for Audi

Samaco Automotive Company, the exclusive dealer for Audi cars in Saudi Arabia, announced a substantial sales growth compared to the same period last year. The company attributed this exceptional rise in sales to the implementation of the high Royal Order allowing women to drive cars from June 24, 2018.

The company stated that its sales to women, in some parts of the Kingdom, reached more than 50% of total sales in June. Samaco noted that Audi car showrooms had witnessed more interest from female customers earlier in the year, but that this increased substantially since the beginning of June, reflecting the keen desire of women to learn more about Audi cars. The enquiries from from ladies in the shorwooms covered all aspects of the purchase process, including cash and credit sales offers as well as the company’s after-sale services. There was also a keen interest in Audi car technologies, and especially those that differentiate Audi cars from other competitors in the Saudi market.

The company reported higher sales on Audi cars in general, and in particular increased demand for Audi  A5, A8, Q2 and Q7 models. Sales for the Audi Sport RS models have also been in high demand since the Royal Order came into force, which indicates the preference Saudi women have for performance models.

To meet the increasing number of women visiting Audi showrooms, Samaco Automotive Company have recruited Saudi ladies to greet their showroom visitors. They have also employed female sales consultants for the first time in the Kingdom, to assist women and answer their queries and to explain and demonstrate the advanced protection and drive assist systems that make Audi cars comfortable and safe to drive. The company also organized a number of test-drive sessions for ladies to enable them experience the premium appeal of their Audi models, including demonstrations of the outstanding fuel efficiency, remarkable performance and focusing on the ease and convenience for women in terms of driving enjoyment,  practicality and maneuverability.

On this occasion, Kerem Tas, General Manager of the Audi brand in SAMACOAutomotive, said:” Since the issuance of the Royal Order allowing women to drive on September 29, 2017, automotive companies anticipated an increase in sales due to the entry of women as potential customers. We, at Audi also expected to achieve a reasonable sales increase, but to our surprise, the sales to our female customers have contributed to more than 20% of our total sales Kingdom-wide so far.”

Samaco Automotive Company have launched a number of financial sales offers on a number of selected Audi models in recognition and support of  the Government’s efforts to encourage women to drive easily and safely in Saudi Arabia.
