Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Sharjah Ruler's office, was at the Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah honouring ceremony (Monday), which was organised at their Al Qarain headquarters to honour the organisation’s partners and sponsors who have collaborated strongly for their success.

 

Sajaya - a subsidiary of a subsidiary of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators – organised the event as part of its third anniversary celebrations.

 

In her speech, Sheikha Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi, Director of Sajaya, extended profound thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Salem, the patron of the ceremony, who honoured Sajaya’s partners and supporters during the event. She highlighted Sajaya’s keen interest in honouring all entities and organisations that play a key role in ensuring their effectiveness and success.

 

“The honour forms part of Sajaya’s efforts to boost collaboration with partnering entities and work on furthering sustainable relationships by highlighting contributions of sponsors and supporters in realising the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation, which is to nurture and develop the talents of young Emirati girls in a way that will assist them to seize future opportunities with self-confidence,” she said.

 

Sheikha Aisha added: “We are proud of these community partnerships that bring us together with many sponsors and supporters, since such partnerships do not only contribute to Sajaya’s prosperity, but also reflect positively on all our partners and sponsors. Therefore, we are always keen to expand the scope of these mutually beneficial partnerships and ensure their sustainability for the benefit of all parties.”

 

Sheikha Aisha announced the launch of the ‘Giving Personality of the Year’ for the first time, where one outstanding public figure who contribute in supporting Sajaya’s activities, will be chosen annually in recognition of generosity and giving.

 

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, was given the first ‘Generous Personality of the Year’ award. His son, First Lieutenant, Ahmed Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi received the award on his behalf.

Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah is dedicated to developing the talents of girls aged
13-18 years in all creative spheres. Established in 2004 under the umbrella of Sharjah Children’s Centres, it became an independent entity in 2012 following an administrative decree from Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation.
