Ring, a company on a mission to reduce crime in neighborhoods, today announced its participationin the 2ndSaudi International Exhibition and Conference for Internet of Things (IoT) taking place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center from February 13 – 15, 2019 . Ring will use the Saudi IoT 2019 platform to promote its innovative home security products and services, giving partners and neighbors the opportunity to experience Ring products first hand and to learn about its features and benefits via demos.

Ring will showcase as part of its latest suite of smart home security products, the newly launched Ring Stick Up Cam Wired, which is Ring’s first camera meant for both indoor and outdoor use giving neighbors maximum flexibility to position the cameras anywhere, to secure every corner of their property. In addition to this, Ring will also showcase products such as Ring Video Doorbell 2 which allows you to communicate with visitors from anywhere; Ring Video Doorbell Pro which in addition to the features of the Video Doorbell 2 has advanced motion detection and is hardwired only; Video Doorbell Elite which requires professional-installation with power over ethernet offering the reliable connection in home security; Ring Floodlight Cam, the first motion-activated floodlight camera with two-way audio, HD video, built in floodlights and a siren;  the Ring Spotlight Cam Battery, a long lasting battery-powered powered HD camera with two-way audio, HD video, motion detection, and a siren; and the Spotlight Cam Wired with two-way talk and a siren solution at Saudi IoT 2019. 

 

Recent studies regarding the real estate market indicate that the Gulf countries in general and Saudi Arabia in particular are likely to be the most advanced with respect to establishing smart homes as a result of the level of constructional development in this region. According to a report by Statista, the revenue in the ‘Smart Appliance’ market in Saudi Arabia amounts to US$88m in 2019, with the expectation for the global ‘Smart Home’ market to more than triple, reaching US$113 billion by 2022. The report further indicates that the market for Smart Home products is expected to grow by 28% annually between 2017 and 2022.

 

The Saudi Ministry of Housing has launched programs and initiatives to achieve Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020, which aims to increase the rate of property ownership to 52 percent. “Under these directives, there are huge opportunities for the housing sector to grow and develop and we believe that the IoT is set to disrupt the way we live. Homes are going to get ‘smart’ with connected products offering endless possibilities to make our lives easier, more convenient, and more comfortable. The awareness and demand for smart entry devices, such as smart doorbells that keep families, neighborhoods and communities safe are growing within the country,” said Mohammad Meraj Hoda.
